What an event! Open British Championship 2019
Open British Championship 2019 - what an event! 653 competitors and 114 coaches from 12 countries, 59 clubs, 71 umpires.
These British championships were extremely competitive with many showing their strong desire to win a medal or even to become British Champion from not just all over the UK and various groups, but also from across Europe. This was always our plan when we got together to create this event.
Our school came as 6th, so as a Coach I'm so proud of what we as a School achieved. We have been working hard to be ready for that event.
Some of competitors went first time to complete and what a success Ying Bradwell, Remigiusz Urban, David Szymanski well Done.
27 medals in total: Gold - 10, Silver - 11, Bronze - 6.
Tatiana Zientara, II Dan - silver medal in sparrings, silver medal in patterns, silver medal power test. Amazing performance. Very good fights and powerful destruction.
Alexander Bradwell, II Dan - gold medal in patterns, gold medal in sparring. Alexander top sparring, I'm over the moon with his performance. Amazing skills, speed, brave Heart…
Amie-Beth Ferrey, II Dan - bronze medal in sparring. Still strong, and very good skills. Your time will come shortly.
Neve Orrick, I Dan - gold medal in patterns, gold medal in sparring, bronze medal in special technics. Neves first competition as black belt. She proved that She is the best. Hard and amazing fights, great patterns…
Abigail Scott - silver medal in sparring, silver medal in special technics. Abigail surprise me in every competition, amazing performance, very good second sparing
Jay Pringle - gold medal in patterns (35 competitors) Gold medal in sparring, bronze medal in special technic. Jay proved that he is the Best of the Best. Stunning performance. Proud to be your Coach.
Daniel Robinson - gold medal in sparring. Daniel was very sick before competition. On the day he was still poor, but because of his big heart Daniel defended the title and proved that there is only one champion.
Marek Dziubek - silver medal in sparring. Marek had a very difficult two sparring amazing skills helped him to get II place.
Julia Brachman - silver medal in sparring, bronze medal in patterns. Jula was so brave and strong doing her sparring, she didn't give up and she was fighting to the end.
Julian Brachman - gold medal in sparring. Little monkey won every single fight and defeated a competitor who defeated him last Jult in Stratford. Bravo Julian.
Remigiusz Urban - gold medal in sparring. Silver medal in patterns. First time at the competition and amazing achievement.
David Szymanski - silver medal in sparring, Bronze medal in patterns. David's firs competition and amazing performance
Ying Bradwell - silver medal in patterns, bronze medal in sparring. Huge congratulations for being so brave. This is only beginning.
