Functional Skills courses in the UK are fully funded for certain groups. Here's a simplified breakdown:

  1. All UK Citizens: British citizens are eligible for free Functional Skills courses.
  2. Individuals with Settled Status: Those with settled status in the UK can access fully funded courses
  3. Residents with Indefinite Leave to Remain: If you have indefinite leave to remain in the UK, you're entitled to free courses.
  4. Refugees and Those with Humanitarian Protection: Refugees and individuals with humanitarian protection status qualify for fully funded courses.
  5. People with Discretionary Leave to Remain: Those granted discretionary leave to remain can access free Functional Skills training.
  6. Settlement under the EU Settlement Scheme: Individuals with settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme are eligible for fully funded courses.
  7. Citizens of EEA Countries with EU Settlement Scheme Status: EEA citizens with pre-settled or settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme can access free courses
