Kendal is a charming town located in the county of Cumbria, in the north-western corner of England, right on the edge of the Lake District National Park. With a population of approximately 28,000, Kendal is a small yet significant hub in the region.

The town is best known for its picturesque landscapes and historic buildings, such as the ruins of Kendal Castle, which date back to the 12th century. Often referred to as the "Gateway to the Lake District," it owes this title to its proximity to the popular lakes and mountains that attract visitors from around the globe.

Kendal is also famous for its production of the sweet treat known as Kendal Mint Cake, a long-time favourite among climbers and travellers. As you stroll through the town, you can admire its distinctive stone buildings and visit numerous art galleries and museums, including Kendal Museum, one of the oldest museums in England.
